DCE Electrical was awarded the Construction of a Satellite Earth Station Facility Tivendale NT, which consisted of preparing a Greenfield Site in preparation for the construction of 15 Antennas , 13 UT Antennas and essential supportive infrastructure for a complete turnkey project .It included ensuring the integration of various systems and equipment in compliance with Telstra standards. The project included close coordination with suppliers and service providers for equipment delivery, installation, and commissioning, alongside detailed documentation and verification processes.
scope of work
Installed new mains cabling, conduits, protective enclosures, and an equipotential protective earthing network with 120mm² copper cable and 16m-deep earth rods for huts, antennas, and poles.
Connected power to generator shelters, switch rooms, storage containers, and installed power distribution components, including DBG.1, DBG.2, SNP power pillars (5), and pole-mounted RCD power outlets for antennas.
Assisted in landing huts (excluding craneage) and ensured compliance with the latest National Construction Code (NCC).
Supplied and installed conduits, pits, and in-ground concrete pylon foundations using the CFA method for improved structural integrity.
Constructed concrete antenna base foundations with formwork, steel reinforcement, and precision leveling at +6.410 (±20mm).
Completed earthworks and trenching, removing overburden to approved locations as per council or Telstra guidelines. • Supplied and installed foundations, footings, and poles for CCTV and UT systems.
