summary

DCE Electrical was selected to carryout extensive electrical and mechanical services upgrade to include the installation of new UPS Distribution switchboards. The mechanical services to the new data centre area will also need to be newly installed to cater for the new heat loads that will be generated from the data centre equipment as required. A new satellite antenna is to be installed to the rear of the block and will need new footings and electrical supply etc.

scope of work

Electrical Works

  • Installation of cable trays, power cabling, and 4 UPS distribution boards (2 in a secure area).
  • Provision of dual “A” and “B” UPS supplies for computer racks with IP56 outlets underfloor.
  • New power supply and MSSB installation, including ATS, BMS control, and associated cabling.
  • General power circuits, aisle lighting, and cable tray installation throughout the data center.
  • New power feeds for satellite antenna and emergency exit lighting.
  • Testing, commissioning, AMS alarms, and fire sealing.

Mechanical Works

  • Installation of 10 CRAC units (indoor and outdoor), refrigerant piping, and air fans with filters and dampers.
  • Actuators, thermostats, humidity sensors, and control system programming.

Construction Works

  • Demolition of redundant structures and installation of satellite antenna footings.
  • New walls, raised flooring, solid ceilings, patching, painting, and protective measures.
  • Ceiling penetrations for air services and concrete pouring for outdoor slabs.

Fire Systems

  • Design and installation of fire suppression, VESDA aspirating detection, and fire indicator panels.
  • Local control stations, pressure relief venting, and CO2 extinguishers.
  • Testing, maintenance, training, and system handover.
